A repeatable way to turn a short recording into speaking practice.
First listen: find the situation
Choose a short recording with a transcript you are allowed to use. Listen without pausing and ask what is happening. You do not need to identify every word to understand a greeting, request or reply.
Second listen: follow one phrase
Read the transcript while listening again. Choose a phrase short enough to hold in memory. Notice which sounds connect and where the speaker pauses. Slow playback can help, but return to normal speed to hear the natural rhythm.
Third pass: make it yours
Pause after the phrase and repeat it aloud. Check the transcript only after trying. Then use the same structure with a different person, place or time. Device voices are useful for repetition; real recordings can add variety in accents and situations.
